Materials
Heartwood & Helm toys are made from poplar wood, painted with non-toxic German Angora watercolors, and finished with jojoba oil and beeswax. The translucent finish is intentionally chosen so the wood grain remains visible.
Care
For everyday cleaning, gently wipe the toy with a soft, slightly damp cloth and allow it to air-dry completely. Avoid soaking wooden toys or using harsh cleaners, alcohol, or abrasive scrubbing, which can affect the watercolor and natural finish.
Wood is a natural material. Over time, handling and play may deepen the color and develop a soft patina. Slight variations in grain, tone, shape, and painted detail are expected in handmade pieces.
